Spring Break - BREAK!?!

It was a gorgeous Spring Break Wednesday...  so off to Sports Authority we went for baseball gear, then a pit stop at the Franz bread store (a Silves boy FAVE) and then to the Lynden City Park to play in the water and on the playground.  It might still be tax season, but even Mom needs to get out and have some fun!  So glad to take advantage of these special moments with the kids - they are growing up so fast and are such a hoot to hang out with.  I might be a little biased, but I think they are each pretty amazing!

Wyatt's first year of T-Ball!

Wyatt is having so much fun playing t-ball.  We were a little (okay, a LOT!) worried how it would go with his vision issues, but it turns out accuracy isn't very common in t-ball so it's fine.  :-)  He loves having his own team, with his own friends and is quite the character.  He has perfected his "booty shake" which he randomly performs in the outfield.  He also has learned to keep his helmet on when playing catch.  Since he has a hard time following the ball in the air, the faceguard is quite useful.  His friend Dane is also on the team, and he'll be going to kindergarten with a lot of the kids next year.  I love being able to get outside, chase Addison, and visit with the other moms.  His coach is AMAZING with the kids and really works to teach them skills as well.  Gotta love T-Ball!

2nd season - LAST game of the winter

Our last game of the 2nd Season was against Lynden - talk about a tough game!  The boys had all been working so hard over the past few weeks and really learned a lot through the tournament and games... and it all showed during this game.  They played so well as a team, made lots of passes, and were SO CLOSE to beating Lynden. It came down to the wire and we could not have been more proud!  Wayne is quite the hustler out there, and is feisty on defense.  I am not sure how many more of these intense, down to the buzzer games I can take though!  Thanks to everyone who made it out to his games throughout the season - it means so much to him to hear you cheering him on!

Everything is awesome! Everything is cool when you're part of the team!

We all went to the "Lego Movie" for Wayne's birthday (minus Addison) and had a good time eating through 2 LARGE popcorns and watching the movie together.  For DAYS after the boys were sucked back into their Lego's full force...  Determined to build a town as big as the movie!  There were sleepovers and hours spent playing and building together... and GETTING ALONG.  I love Legos!  :-)

Great to be 8!

8 years ago this sweet and precious boy entered this world.  What a blessing!  We can't belive how quickly he is growing up.  He is kind, thoughtful, independent, hard working, funny, silly, smart and OH so many more things.  I am so grateful for him!!!  We had a great time celebrating his birthday over the weekend, and on Tuesday as well.  A highlight had to be when I brought SIX pizzas to his class with 4 crazy breads and his class ate it ALL!  Wow.  Hungry 2nd graders.  And they had just had lunch!  Another highlight?  Picking out his fish and fish tank and getting it set up.  Tiger, Kai, Max (who was soon followed by Max II) and Blackie.  They are pretty cool fish.  He can even take care of them and clean the tank himself.  Grandma brought him an ENTIRE Mocha Cake on his birthday for breakfast.  Seriously?  He is LOVED!  We topped the day off with a cruise around the driveway on his new motorized scooter.
