Wayne's busy....

He's been upstairs reading books off of Weston's bookcase for over an hour! He jabbers away, and makes lots of animal sounds! What a smart boy!

A Very Special Apron!

I had never heard of a fire apron before, have you? It is an apron meant for a mom or childcare worker to throw over their head, and stick all the little babies they need to in front pockets, and then run out of the building in case of an emergency. Brilliant! I know a few folks who could use them to just get around the house, do you? Hmm.. I wonder of Jon and Kate (from the TV show Jon and Kate plus 8) used one?
And for those who don't recognize her, that's my S-I-L Tanya, minus some pounds and plus some highlights! Ain't she lookin' good?!?

A cow, a horse, a duck, and 2 suckers!

How did a trip to Lynden result in so much animal life around here? First we went into Cenex, and told Wayne he could pick one animal. After much picking up and down of animals, he decided on a cow AND a horse, he needed one for each hand! Then, we went to Dave's for a fishing reel for Tyler. Wayne saw a duck decoy that he had to have. It was on clearance, and was decent looking, so... he left the store hugging it like it was his new best friend. And the two suckers... I'll let you figure out who we.... oops, I mean THEY are! :-)

PS. Weston went too, but he was fine with just his binky. Oh no! He did get a new bumbo seat... he likes to sit up so much, and he just loves it! I'll post pictures tomorrow.

"Pay"

Yesterday Wayne, Weston and I were playing on the floor. Wayne grabbed Weston's hand, and my hand and said, "Pay." I thought he meant, "Play" and asked him, but he shook his head and with a scowl said, "No! Pay!" I said to him, do you want to PRAY with Mom and Weston? Wayne nodded, and with a big smile said, "Yeah!" So, we prayed, all holding hands. What a cute boy! He does know how to get his point across!

Page x 2 and serious posting points!

I get some serious posting points for all of my posts lately! :-) Hope you are all enjoying them. Here's 2 more pages! Wayne's book is coming along.

^ Great Website & Wayne's Art ^

Wayne and I had so much fun this morning on the computer together. He was wanting to sit in my lap, so we went to http://www.pbskids.org/ and had a blast! (Take your kids there! They have SuperWhy and Word World too!) We played a few games (Wayne pointed to the characters that he wanted... no shocker there, it was Clifford and Curious George!) and then I asked him if he wanted to color. He said, "Yeah!" and so I let him pick out the two pictures he wanted. We took them to the table, where he intently colored for almost 30 minutes. Altogether we killed an hour of time while Weston slept, and had fun together! Here is his "Clifford" picture.

more pages, if you're interested

Okay, I'm starting to make some progress, I'm to Wayne's Christmas pictures.

Weston is 3 months old!

Hard to believe, but the little Chub-chub is 3 months old today. My aunt just moved all of my video tapes from the last two years to DVD, and I've started watching them. It's been amazing to see Wayne so little. The two boys look nothing alike, at least I think! Weston is more smiley and coos more than Wayne did at this age, and definitely has more meat on his bones. He is outgrowing the colic thing, and is actually quite goofy at times. He puts up with Wayne pretty well too! Today while Weston was napping and I was checking on him, Wayne barrelled in and set his basketball and blankie on top of Weston. What a nice brother to share! Anyhoo... enjoy Weston's 3 month pictures, and be sure to hit me up for one the next time you see me, I ordered lots!

In other news... a certain someone came to play today. She's 10. Tyler knew she had been here because the sink was meticulously cleaned and ALL Wayne's toys were put away. Oh, and her sister changed 3 poopie diapers for me! So to the two of you... thanks for such a fun day, and for all of your help!

*Weston's Dedication*

Today we dedicated Weston at our church. For those of you unfamiliar with this, it is basically making a public commitment to raise Weston to love the Lord our God with all of his heart, soul, and all of his strength. There is also a time where those present agree to do their part to raise him in the way of the Lord as well. There were many family, and friends who are like family there, and we had a wonderful time of fellowship following the service having coffee and goodies up at my parents' place. What fun! Wayne definitely was ruling the roost up there, and running around having a grand time with his cousins. Thank you so much to everyone who came, it was great to see you all! Weston was VERY GOOD. He seems to have outgrown his colic, for which I am so grateful for. He is SUCH a cute little dude, I'll be posting his 3 month pictures in the next day for you all. We have just been relaxing this afternoon. The boys took naps, and so did Tyler because he had a migraine. I just did dishes and laundry and pickup, but took my time and managed a latte in between!

In front of our church.

Coffee and goodies at Mom and Dad's

more goodies... they were... GOOD!

Quite the pow-wow!

Cussin' and discussin' (okay, no cussing but lots of discussing!)

Are you looking at me?

Weston and his mom (me!) I was hot and tired at this point, and Weston puked all over me!

Weston Pictures!

"Little chub-chub, little chub-chub, your the dreams of all my dreams!"

Pictures, pictures, pictures!

Weston in his favorite place to be, the swing!
I took the boys for a walk one afternoon, they both seem to enjoy the new stroller.
Weston was sound asleep and snuggled up!
Tyson and his girlfriend Breanne.

Wayne likes to play under the barn "gym" with Weston.

Page x 4!

Seriously, I'm on a roll! Four pages is today's count, and now I need to get a few things done before the boys are up. Stay tuned for pictures of Weston smiling. He is really starting to coo and smile, when he's in the mood. Oh, and note that there are 20 PICTURES on the Halloween pages. That's unbelievable for the scrapping world!

Page!

For those not interested in scrapbooking, skip these "Page!" posts! For the rest of you... here's another page (or at least the top 8 1/2 inches of it!) This concludes the family album for 2007. Now I am going to tackle Wayne's album from November - his birthday in March. After that, Wayne's traditional scrapbook is complete, and I will move on to just "Shutterflying" him, the modern way! When Wayne's caught up, then I will start Weston's book and get him caught up, and then go back and finish the family album for 2008. What a plan! It helps to have it setup in the office so I can do pages here and there.
P.S. As I scrapped these pages, I remembered how much I hated being this pregnant! It's no wonder I don't gain any weight the last month I'm pregnant, I'm burning too many calories hauling all that weight around! Hats off to all you "pregos" out there, I have compassion on you all!

You're Invited!

I want to invite all of my faithful blog readers (that's you!) to Weston's parent dedication at our church this coming Sunday. We attend Nooksack Valley Baptist in Everson, and the service begins at 9:30am. Afterwards we are going to go up to my parents (they live about 5 minutes from the church) and have coffee and goodies. We are just inviting folks by word of mouth, and everyone is welcome, but please don't feel obligated to come. I always have an internal battle with myself over these parties... do you invite everyone (aunts, uncles, cousins, etc.) and take the risk of folks feeling pressured to come to yet another party, or do you keep it small, and take the risk of hurting someone's feelings? Personally, I would rather not put anyone in either position! Aagh! So, it's an open invitation, and we'll have a great time of fellowship with one and all!

Page!

Here's another... I'm being naughty and scrapping in the office while the boys are down. Note the bird on the upper right! Michael's was having a sale, only $39.99 for cartridges they usually sell for $89.99! I got the Animal Kingdom, and the Alphalicious sets, and Tanya (my S.I.L.) got the Garden themed set. How fun!

Page!

Anyone who's ever scrapbooked with me knows how much I love to say, "PAGE!" when I complete one. I just put the boys down and took a few minutes to unwind by doing my favorite hobby, made even more fun by my new Cricut machine! I scanned the page for you all to see... Sorry, it's a 12x12 page and all that I have is an 8 1/2 x 11 scanner. Oh, and the green block is for journaling (I will do that later, I'm too tired now to have a steady hand!)

In other news... Wayne was a stinker today and WOULD NOT nap. About my 3rd trip in to tell him to go to bed, he wasn't there! Not in his bed, or under it, or playing on the floor! I was just starting to panic as I raced around the upstairs looking for him, and then... Surprise! Out popped Wayne from inside his closet. He was trying to avoid getting in trouble, so he went in there to hide. The funny thing is, I think he was scared of the dark, because he came out and then layed down on the floor as if he was sleeping. What a turkey!

Cheese please!

Okay, I hate, hate, hate to grate cheese. It is a chore, and one I despise in the kitchen (ask Tyler, 9 times out of 10 he does it for me!) My hand is not big enough to hold the block, especially the Costco block, and my right wrist is not strong enough anyway (I once had surgery on it, but it didn't fix it.) Years ago Tyler bought me a cheese grater attachment for my Kitchenaid mixer. But, I lost it in the kitchen cabinets. I just found it again (Hooray!) and used it today while making a casserole for dinner tonight (I cook dinner during naptime a lot when Tyler is working. Otherwise, two kids + dad at work = Tuna helper!) It worked so great! Yes, it did take time to clean the attachment, but I would rather clean an attachment than grate the cheese any day! Kudos to Kitchenaid!

*knock, knock*

Everyday life around here is going well. The boys are growing so fast, and Wayne is hysterical. That boy comes up with something new everyday. His latest? When he is all done napping, he gets out of bed and knocks on his door for us to come get him. He can't work the door knob consistently yet, so that's how he gets our attention. The first time freaked me out, because I thought someone was at the front door, but when I checked there was no one. I finally figured out it was Wayne! He is getting more and more into holding Weston, especially when Grandma is holding him. (Wayne is not too fond of having Grandma's attention divided!) We are looking forward to warmer weather, so we can head outisde. Some day soon now, I know it will come!

Wayne had great fun playing with his animals in his new sandals, but refused to let me put his jamma's on! Oh, and he had to have his hat on too, but it had to be backwards!

In other news... I gave in, sort of. Tyler told me to order the Cricut machine for my Mother's Day gift, I LOVE being a mom!
