Sledding on Christmas Day!
Having a white Christmas is a rarity, but having a white Christmas with 2 ft. of powder is unheard of around here! We had to take advantage of the day and go sledding. We used tubes, but it's still sledding, right? Ryan spent a lot of time in the morning preparing the run. We used the path down to the creek at Mom and Dad's place. It was about 200ft long I'm guessing, and curved around a corner. After I went in with Wayne, the boys (I'd call them men, but trust me, they weren't acting like men out there!) built a ramp and were getting 5 ft. of air or so. Crazy! You may have noticed in previous pictures that Tyler's face was scratched. That's because he went off the jump and into the blackberry bushes. They then built a burm so that it didn't happen again. Crazy!
Tyler showing Wayne how to make a snow angel. I love that Tyler's just laying there with a big smile on his face!

Wayne's attempt.
Mom and Tara and Maddie were watching from the warmth of the house, so of course Tyler threw a snowball at them!
Dad plowed the driveway with his tractor, and here is the mound he created with all the snow.

Wayne was so proud to carry snow.

We even got Mom, Tara and Aunt Carol to come out and sled for awhile!
Auntie Carol being silly.
Tara... On her first run, she was telling Todd "I don't want to go fast, just a nice leisurely ride." Todd told her fine, take this tube. But when I saw the tube he was handing her, I laughed to myself. It was the fastest one, and they had just sprayed it with brake fluid!!! Tara went down the hill SHREIKING, and Todd got a good laugh. Some things never change, do they?
Like I said before... it was magical. I had so much fun taking pictures and doing a few runs with Wayne. (Weston was napping in the house.) After an hour, Wayne was about ready to fall asleep standing up, so I took him in the house, stripped him down and changed his clothes, and he fell asleep as soon as he hit the pillow. It was his first time to ever play in the snow, and it was perfect.
Our Christmas Day!
Working from youngest to oldest, we're now at Tyler and me! Okay, so this posting approach is just one lame attempt to post a bazillion cute pictures, but hey, you keep coming back to read! :-)
Tyler's big gift was a scroll saw, he was pretty excited and offered to help me make Christmas presents next year... Mom, can you say "Merry Christmas?"
Wayne LOVED his bouncy frog, and stopped for a brief picture.
Ryan and Madelyn. So cute.
It wouldn't be Christmas without a game of Monopoly! And, we didn't even fight once! The bidding got out of control, with the outlaws driving the price of a few properties into the $1200's, but everyone had fun. Tyson won.

Wayne's Christmas Day: 3 for the price of 1!
I'll try to upload backwards and see if it goes forwards... (you fellow bloggers know what I'm dealing with here!)
Okay, Wayne had a wonderful Christmas day. His personality was in full force, and it was a joy to watch and be a part of. We started by opening stockings in the coffee room. He loved it! He just kept digging his hand down into his stocking and pulling out more. Of course, after he emptied it, he had to grab his and Weston's and put them on his feet. Oh Wayne...!
We are all about "morning hugs" around here, and Wayne decided to give Weston one.
Tradition lives on... Bubble bread for breakfast on Christmas morning. Wayne got orange juice in a cup too (he's been doing really well with cups.)

Wayne opening presents. He got over telling my "no pictures mom. no more." Who does he think he is? Of course I was taking pictures!
After we finished at home, we headed up to Mom and Dad's. Of course, as soon as we get there Grandma asked Wayne if he wanted a milkshake, and of course he did, so she whipped one up. Seriously, as if she doesn't have anything better to do!!! Crazy woman.

Uncle Todd got Wayne and Weston Kota, the dinosaur. They love him! They are have fascinated, half scared, and both boys think he's totally real. It cracks us up to watch them! Weston is an animal around him, I think he would jump on him if the little peanut could!

Things I want to remember about Wayne this year.... I loved the way that he approached each gift, looking for the corner piece of paper, then tearing into the whole thing. Sooooo Wayne. I love how he just played and played and played with all of his gifts, and how much he loved them all. I loved how he told everyone, "Mank you!" and gave them hugs and kisses. I loved that he loved Weston's presents... and Maddie's presents. Wayne had one BIG Christmas because he thought all of the presents were for him! He helped open their gifts, and then had to check them out to see if they worked or not. Way to help out Waynard Paynard! Another favorite moment was taking him sledding. In Amanda's words, it was MAGICAL. Wait until you see those pictures!!!

Weston's 1st Christmas Day
I can hardly believe that Weston had his first Christmas. Where did the last year go? We had so much fun with him, and he seemed to enjoy himself too! Sorry, but Blogger's acting weird and uploading pictures backwards, so the following pictures are not in any particular order... Our day however went like this... gifts at our house, lunch at Mom and Dad's, sledding, Monopoly, dinner, then gifts!
What's better than tissue paper? At least it wasn't the box!
Weston LOVES this train, it is stinkin' loud, but has entertained him for HOURS today.
Weston got this darling penguin from Grandpa and Grandma. He loves it! I let him have it in his crib.
How darn cute is he? Look at those little teeth!

"Merry Christmas Wesson!"
Weston tried to open a few presents. He wasn't so good at the unwrapping, but he is good at playing with all his new toys!
This boy has the sweetest smile. He loves to give loves too, and puts his arms out to go to someone he wants. He's also become quite the mama's boy... If he wants me, no one else will do, he'll just cry until I hold him again. He is napping well now too, which is SOOOOOO nice. He is still spitting up 1/2 dozen times each day, but what's a mom to do? At least he is maintaining his weight percentile these days... 10%. He is wearing 12 month clothes, and a few 12-18 month sizes. Hard to believe since Wayne's Christmas sweater from this age is an 18-24 month size. Weston has height, but no where near the weight! Weston is way more physical and aggressive than Wayne ever was. He has figured out how to trip Wayne in order to tackle him. The Lord know I pray for safety for him!!! (Wayne, not Weston.... Weston can hold his own! :-) Hard to believe we had life without him. His love of life and craziness can be contagious. My favorite Christmas memory this year was last night, when we were ready to come home from Mom and Dad's. I went to get him out of bed, and after looking around at everyone, he buried his head in my chest and went back to sleep. He NEVER does that, but that night, all he wanted was to lay on his Mom. Precious! Love you my little go getter!
Weston and Madelyn
