Family tradition = Opening Day! I love that our kids get to go with Dad and Grandpa! They were really looking forward to it and caught a TON of fish, ate a lot of donuts, and had fun too.

Kindergarten here he comes!
Wyatt's Kindergarten registration was finally here - and he was SO excited! He kept saying "Now this is my school, not Wayne and Weston's school." He did so great on all of his testing and tried his best - he knew all of his colors and about half of his numbers, and 2 letters of the alphabet. Given his vision issues, I was VERY proud of the progress he has made in the past few months and how well he did, all things considered. He loved meeting his teacher, Mrs. Handy - who is also Weston's teacher. I just can't believe he's going to full time kindergarten next year! Mrs. Handy picked up on the similarities between Weston and Wyatt really fast, and also commented, "But Wyatt's a bit feistier, isn't he?" :-) This is going to be an ADVENTURE!

Addie, Addie OH!
Addie is GROWING UP! At 21 months she has ditched the baby stage and is embracing toddler-hood. The rest of us? We are trying to catch up! She wants to walk and run everywhere and she is not a fan of the word "no." She is bull headed yet alarmingly sensitive. Everyone keeps saying "it's a girl thing." I am not sure I am convinced of that, but it certainly is an Addison thing. She's had a lot of firsts lately... first haircut, and first big girl bed. We have no crib at our house anymore. How strange is that? After 9 years... that ship has sailed for the Silves family. It's a little sad, but a little not too. I try to enjoy each and every stage we are in for all of its high points, and pray I forget the low ones. :-) Addison has definitely been a blessing to our family. She will forever and always be fiercely protected and loved by all of us! The boys dote on her and she knows she can just get them to do whatever SHE wants them to. Not sure how long that will last, but it's funny to watch right now!
Today she is out playing in the backyard with Wyatt. Yup, by themselves! I am watching and listening to them, and it's hilarious. So excited for her to enjoy her new Independence, and come running back to mom when she needs a snuggle.
Love you baby girl!
