Picnic for Two

While Wayne is away at school on Mondays, these two brothers are quite the buddies.  We all go to speech together, and then it's home and to the BACKYARD!  By 11:30 we do an outdoor lunch (easy clean up!) and by 12 it's time for NAPS.  They play and fight together... like brothers!  Today, they've been working on pottie training Wyatt.  SCARY!  Weston has taken diapers on and off him, undies on and off him, and hoisted him up on the toilet more times than I would want to.  When Wyatt had an accident, Weston came running to me and said, "What happened?  Wyatt accident?  Oh shoot!"  :-)

Easter 2012

After breakfast, church, and another breakfast after church, we spent a few hours laying low at home before taking off for Lynden town.  With Tyler working 6 days a week, Sunday is his only day off, and we have tried to make it a little bit restful for all of us!  His mom and Duane had the whole family over for ham buns and salads, and an Easter egg hunt in the back yard.  Trisha was...  About 35 weeks or so pregnant, and I am 26 weeks or so, and there were 7 kids running around too.  Such fun!  It was fun to get together as a family and visit and watch the kids play.  Tyler had them all playing baseball, hitting off the tee and fielding at one point - the weather was nice enough we could actually be outside for once!!!!
Paige says, "Cheese!"
Sweet Booger.

Weston was totally into the hunt.

One egg was not found by the kids... the little kids that is!  Tyler was determined to be the one to find it... and he did!  Can't tell you where it was though - I have to use that spot again!
Seriously?  You shouldn't look this beautiful when you are 35 weeks pregnant.  Can't wait to find out if it's a BOY or a GIRL!

  Wayne's best "Bunny" face.

It was a fun afternoon, and by 3:30 or so, the boys were TIRED.  We scooted home in time to rest, and head back to Grandma Groen's for round 2 - or was it round 3 by that time?  I was too tired to carry my camera though, so no pics!!!

He is Risen! Easter morning

After 6 weeks or so of working at least 6, 10 hour days, I could hardly believe my ears on Friday when I found out that Tyler had Saturday AND Sunday off.  Woo-hoo!  We spent Saturday cleaning, doing laundry, and doing a TON of yard work.  By Sunday we were ready to relax, and enjoy the day.  The boys were excited to have Tyler home AGAIN, and thoroughly enjoyed day 2 of bacon, eggs, and sausage for breakfast.  They each had their Easter baskets too - a new outfit for church, a chocolate Easter bunny, and a new movie - Chipwrecked!  It was a bit of a push to make it out the door by 8:15, but we managed.  The boys looked cute in their outfits - more to come later!

Mommy's Clothes

The boys were getting a bit stir crazy the other day, and decided that wearing my clothes would shake things up a bit.  And of course, nothing tops off an outfit like one of Dad's hats!

No way Wyatt was missing out on all the fun.  His big one liner lately is "Me too!"
The boys are growing up SO FAST.  Part of me WELCOMES it because truly, that IS the point of parenting - to teach them to be independent, and to follow after Jesus.  In the back of my mind, I think, "What would this activity/behavior look like in 10 years."  They are each DELIGHTFUL and bring joy to my every day.  I am looking forward to Hawaii, but am going to be one LONELY mama without these three.  At least I get to take their sister with me! :-)

Mommy wow! I'm a big kid now!

Wyatt is convinced that he is ready for big boy undies.  With the end of tax season, Hawaii, and a number of "accidents," I am not so convinced!  We did try for a few days, with the primary motivation being how stinkin' cute he looks in his undies!  :-)

 Hosanna!  Hosanna!
Another few weeks when things have settled down around here and we can put forth better effort and consistency, and I am sure that he will be pottie trained before his 3rd birthday   He might break the Silves record!
