this is
This weather... after today's rainy spell, expect the next week or so to be near or above 70 degrees with sunshine EVERY day! At least, that's the current forecast. They are even saying 80 for next Wednesday. Bring on summer! I can't wait to get the slip and slide out for the boys, they are going to love that. So, while I was going to come on and whine about the weather, after checking my sources, I will postpone the whine for another rainy day... sunshine is coming!
Scrapping update! Weston is now into 2009! Hip,hip horray. It is so fun going through the older pictures and getting them scrapped, but I do love looking at the more recent pictures as well. What a cutie he was, is, and is to come. A few more pages, and I'll be able to upload the last of his pages to Shutterfly and then order his first book. There should be around 90 12x12 pages in it, and I am super excited to see my first digital scrapbook and be able to touch and feel it, rather than just see it on my computer screen!
Okay, it's 11:45 and Weston is still sleeping. Have I mentioned this is not normal?

Ski-to-Sea
- Too many wannabe's out there,
- Everson's hippy to hick ratio was turned upside down,
- where on earth do people get the idea to walk all over someone's lawn, lay on it, and throw their bike down on it?
- Why can't parents watch their little kids, when they are walking along a busy street! (I fully understand that kids can bolt... I'm talking about walking 30 feet behind a 2 year old on the sidewalk.)
- People are funny to watch, especially when they are pointing and gesturing at your own house, plants and yard. I mean, do they forget that someone's actually inside the house, and more than likely watching THEM?
- The boy scouts need to go to bed sooner... They campout at the park and charge a small amount per canoe to "watch" them. From the hoots and screams at 1am, there either was a major canoe thief out there, or some serious shananigans.
- Not that there's ever a chance of it, but if I ever rode the biking leg of Ski-to-Sea, finished in the top 20, and my teammate wasn't ready for the handoff.... I'd hurt them B-A-D!
- Does my tailored, tidy, lawn look like a garbage can? Didn't think so.
- There's something inspiring about watching 400 bikers who've just ridden 18 miles come across their finish line... even a 3 year old has to go get his bike out to be like the big boys!
Here the boys are, enjoying their morning snack from the porch. Both of them sat so nice, and all it took was one evil eye from mom to get them sitting again if they got up! Our view
The cutest biggest boy around... Wayne had to ride his bike... Grandma was trying to teach him to pedal!
After awhile, Weston got "contained."
Wayne got distracted for quite sometime by all of these "buggies." When I walked over to see, I discovered he'd found an ant hill and had ticked off dozens and dozens of "buggies." Thankfully, they are not the biting kind.
This is right in front of our driveway... nice, huh?
Some crazy people thought they could call in their iced coffee orders from across the street... Of course, I'm the one who ran in to make them! :-) After a pottie break that was NOT in a 4x4 foot blue cube, they were back on their way again.
Wayne was making himself at home... Nose wipe (the towel, that's what Wayne calls it) and blankie in tow!

The girls went "fishing"
- The weather was beautiful, the sunset gorgeous
- driving
- the girl on the sidewalk
Stay tuned for a Ski to Sea post tomorrow... the fences are up, and we're ready to watch the handoffs from our front porch!
gone fishing
I've been using the weekend to get things done around here. Both boys were in bed by 7 last night, and by 9 I had completed an insane amount of chores around the house, including 7 loads of laundry. It's amazing how fast laundry goes without the 1 year old attacking my piles! I will say that as my stomach grows, it's getting a little lopsided to carry the laundry basket... we've switched to the side hip hold from here on out! What else... we got the shelf in the laundry room hung just before Tyler left, and now I am working on finishing up the labels for the baskets/jars on the shelf. Talk about some cricut fun! Wayne's been practicing riding his new bike, flowers are starting to bloom... the garden is ready to be planted, all my pots are full and flowing with annuals, herbs are growing, it's starting to feel like summer around here!
I can't believe there are only 8 or so more weeks to go until baby #3 arrives. That times is going to fly by, if the past 8 weeks are any indication. I've picked up a few new things, mostly replacements for things the first two animals have trashed, as well as unisex summer things like short sleeved onesies. I'm not sure about this summer baby thing... I'm used to bundling baby boys in blankets and heavy covers in the middle of winter!
Okay folks, time to get back to the kiddos. Snack time is over, we already had craft time, Weston is up from his nap (a belated mother's day gift to me!) and lunch is still an hour away (even though Wayne is hungry now... he's always hungry. He ate waffles, sausage, and jello for breakfast, and had a coronary when I cut him off... seriously!) Toodles!
