School Parties

I am so thankful that even though I work, I can still be at the boys' school for special events and field trips.  Love that I can enjoy these small moments.

Who decided they could use knives?

Only Father of the Year would agree to carve pumpkins with 3 boys every year, and ENJOY it!  It stresses me out too much, and I was more than happy to take care of Addison while these four were in the kitchen getting it done!  They are all business, and so proud when their pumpkins are all ready to go for the front porch.  Wyatt is still getting a lot of help from Dad, and Weston just a little bit of help.  They each picked their own pattern though and each year it reflects their current "favorite thing."  Thanks for making our porch so cute boys!

Bellwood Acres Pumpkin Hunt

With Tyler working so much overtime we had to cave and miss Stoneyridge this year.  Instead we went to Bellwood Acres on a glorious Sunday afternoon.  It was BEAUTIFUL. And we had Starbucks which made it all the more enjoyable.  :-)  The boys were so ready to trudge through the mud and find the perfect carving pumpkin.  There were lots of activities like corn shooting, corn hole, and the apple orchard.  After being so busy with school, football, work and appointments it was delightful to just stop and spend time together with our sweet young family.  They are growing!  Not only are they just plain bigger, but they are just even all the more fun to talk to and hear their thoughts on life and problems.  They are delightful children and we are blessed to have such a wonderful family.  I do feel bad for Bellwood though... on our tractor ride they said that we could pick and eat any apples in the orchard that we wanted to.  I think each of the boys had 2 apples, and Addie had 1!  

Last Game - and that's how we roll!

Our last game of the year.... so sad!  Thankfully the weather cooperated and we were ready to go since it was at 12:30 - easy peasy to get there on time!  Tyler had to work but thankfully could leave for a few hours to coach and be there.  And it was a good thing because WAYNE SCORED HIS FIRST TOUCHDOWN!  I am so proud of him.  He wanted to score a touchdown all season, and was so disappointed each game when he didn't.  He said that other second graders had all scored, but not him.  One of the reasons I love that the boys play sports is that they can work through how to be part of a team, and that not everyone can be the center of attention all the time.  He was diligent and continued to play hard and help out the younger kids, and finally got the chance to run 20 yards for a TOUCHDOWN.  Another great highlight - one of our kindergartners, Landen, also scored a touchdown with the help of every second grader blocking for him.  The entire team and all the fans erupted as Landen scooted into the end zone.   Tyler did an AMAZING job teaching the kids fundamentals and how to be part of a team.  Weston was so excited for every game.  For being a kindergartner he was just amazing, running and blocking kids that had 20 pounds on him at times, and holding them back.  He was the first one to high five his teammates too.  Great season Silves boys!

Pizza! Pizza! Football party

The season was so much fun, and we capped it off with a pizza party at Little Caesar's with the team and their families.  The highlight was at the end when Tyler spoke about each player and recognized them for something special they did this year.  Pretty fun to see how proud and excited the kids were. Weston was recognized for asking questions and always wanting to learn and understand, and Wayne was recognized for always listening to the coaches and helping out when there were no assistant coaches.  He was a leader on their team.  So fun!
