Happy 2nd Birthday: Part 2

These pictures are still from Sunday... Wayne eating icecream cake, and climbing up the stairs with Ethan (those two... monkey see, monkey do.) I still just can't believe that Wayne is two. He is such a fun kid, and is really starting to talk more and more. What's new with Wayne...
  • The naughty step: for those of you Supernanny watchers out there, this really does work! He dutifully sits on the step until we come to get him, and always says "Orry" afterwords. His favorite part is getting hugs and kisses after he apoligizes!
  • Sitting through church... we're working on it! He made it all but 20 minutes one day, which was impressive.
  • Playing outside... that boy loves it!
  • Kissing Weston - let's face it, who doesn't want to kiss Weston? :-)
  • Wayne is moving into 4T for pajamas and shirts, and size 9 shoes. Yikes!

(I'll try and keep posting pictures... blogspot is not letting me upload right now!)

Happy 2nd Birthday: Part 1

On Sunday Wayne celebrated his 2nd birthday with a party with my family in the afternoon, and a party with Tyler's family in the evening. While he started off the day quite crabby (I rocked him in the nursery during the entire church service!) he perked up and enjoyed himself. I'm sure the two pieces of ice cream cake helped with that!!! His eyes were huge when he saw the cake, and he made sure he had a fork in hand while we were singing to him!!! All the kids got monkey masks, and I just love this picture of the cousins. Especially scrawny Wayne! I'll post more pictures later if I can!

The week in review...

It's been another busy week around here...Tyler worked Wednesday and Thursday, and had the AWANA Grand Prix on Wednesday night. Our nieces did very well in the speed rounds this year, and although Tyler was the one starting the cars in their lane, he had nothing to do with it!!! The week was pretty long for me, because Wayne and I both were sick. He first started out with a fever on Sunday afternoon, through Monday, and we both came down with horrible colds by Monday night. For the rest of the week I got nothing accomplished except caring for the boys and myself. We watched A LOT of Sesame Street and SuperWhy, and Curious George! We are all perking up quite a bit today. Even Thursday... we were bored with being home all week, so I packed up the kids after Wayne's nap and went for coffee at my mom's. Her cute neighbor lady came to join us (that's my sister, for all who don't know, she is living in my parent's shop with her husband while they wait to build!) I would have lost my sanity without them!!! Yesterday and today were spent cleaning and wrapping things up, and getting ready for Wayne's birthday parties tomorrow. I'll post photos! *YAWN* I guess I better feed Weston and go to bed, this mom's pooped!

Weston

Isn't that an adorable smile?
Wayne fell asleep on the couch he was so wiped out!
Helping mom clean.

Okay, all Weston this time! Weston is now 6 weeks old. He is doing really well. Tyler and I can't get over how chubby he is. He's not a tank by any means, but compared to Wayne's scrawniness, he's a chub! He is on a 2 1/2 - 3 hour feeding schedule during the day. We try to do his last feeding by 9pm and have him down by 10. He get's about about 2, and then again at about 6am. It's not too bad, but I am working on getting him to stretch longer at night. It's hard, because if I let him cry at all, I run the risk of waking Wayne, and then I'm toast! I handle the nights when Tyler is working, and he is great about helping when he's off. Weston stories.... today he peed on the changing table. I was slow with the new diaper because I was distracted by Wayne, and Weston let it fly! (I know, it's my own fault for not using the Wee Block!) He shot more than 5 ft away!!! Wayne ran in and ran through the puddle on the slate.. It was udder craziness! I look forward to Weston's 2 month appointment in a few weeks, it will be interesting to see how much he's grown!!!

First.... Flu!

Poor Wayne, he had the flu for the very first time! He turns two in one week, and yesterday he came down with a high fever after waking up from his nap. For a spunky little boy, he was sure wiped out! We watched movies (Veggie's and Mulan) for 4 hours until Tyler got home from work (yes, it was interesting! I had two boys who wanted to be held, and my lap was full and the rocker was rocking!) He was still pretty listless today, and finally threw up while taking his nap. I went to get him up, and he was laying on the side of his bed, against the railing, waiting for me and trying to stay away from the puke in the middle of his bed (it was just water, he hadn't eaten much!) Poor guy! After several more hours of snuggles, and another dose of Tylenol, he finally snapped out of it tonight. His temperature dropped back to normal (it had been as high as 103.3) Now, we will recover this week and get ready to turn... TWO!!!

PS. I've been accused of not posting enough pictures of Weston, so I will work on that tomorrow!

1000... diapers?

For those of you familiar with our church's 1,000 Day program.. my Aunt made a comment that Weston was not into the 1,000 Day journey, but more the 1,000 diaper journey! I changed 4 diapers inside of 15 minutes, and they were all full of poop! Ugh!

Sheep say "Baa-aa-aa-aa"

Oh Wayne... Grandpa thought he would play "baby" with Wayne, who thought it was hilarious to sit in Weston's carseat! We were leaving Bible Study at church yesterday, and Wayne was whining because he wanted to go see the sheep in the field behind our church. My mom came up, realized wanted he wanted, and gladly took him over while I packed up Weston. I drove over and joined them, and they were having quite the conversation about the sheep, and that sheep say "baa-aa-aa." The way Wayne says it is too funny! It was such a sweet grandma moment... Almost as good as his grandpa moment last week... they rode on the golf cart together for the first time!
