Honkin' huge FEET!
Wayne just got new shoes for his Christmas outfit (I'm practical... I buy black everyday shoes so I don't have to buy every day shoes AND dress shoes!) We got a great deal on them the day after Thanksgiving online. Wayne is now in size 10's. His feet are stinking HUGE! My brother's and Dad wear 13's and 14's, so it's definitely in his jeans. I'd put money down that he will wear bigger shoes than his Daddy someday! (11 1/2's) He absolutely loves his new shoes and wanted to wear them right away (shocking, I know. Wayne loves ANY shoe!) We found a pair for Weston too, so they actually have matching shoes for awhile. Too cute!
annual hunt for the *PERFECT* tree
We went and cut down our tree again this year, the Silves family tradition lives on! After a 1 year sabattical (however you spell that) it was great fun to head out with the boys. We went to a place just off the Noon Rd. take the E. Pole, then turn North on Noon to get there. Trees are $18, and Noble's are $30 (although they aren't very big yet.) The trees were descent (and we're pretty picky.) For $18, I thought it was a deal. AND they had a cart that we used to haul the kiddos. The temperature was 38 degrees when we left, so it was just PERFECT for tree hunting, and not muddy at all.
Wayne helped to cut it down.

Spending the next days at home
We are up and at 'em early this morning.... And here are the much awaited pictures I promised! It's just a day at home for us today and tomorrow, for which I am grateful. I've got cleaning to do, floors to mop, bedding to wash, baking to do, and pictures to edit, so it is MY KIND OF DAY! And... the Christmas decorations are done!
My village.. It is both above the TV and the computer... Gorgeous!

Weston playing in his crib this morning while I put away laundry.
"Hey Mom!"
Wayne playing trains. When he wakes up, he takes his comforter off of his bed and camps out in front of his door. Once we've come to say good morning, and give "morning hugs!" because he loves them (and so do we!) he turns his light on and plays with his trains. He will not turn his light on and play until he sees us first. What a kid!
"No Picture Mommy!" Seriously, who does he think he is? :-)
The boys' advent calendars (there's another one to the left of the door opening.) I got the idea from Tanya... so simple and easy, and yet so cute!!! Taylor actually came here and made them for me yesterday, as I didn't have time. That girl is quite crafty I tell you!

"I hate Christmas." - Tyler Silves
Yes, these words actually came out of my dear husband's mouth. Can you believe it? I looked at him in utter shock, and he quickly followed the comment with, "Okay, I HATE Christmas lights, okay?" He had been fighting the small Christmas lights for the inside trees yesterday, and put the outside lights up today, and was sick of them flickering or not lighting! I have to post a picture of the exterior of our house. Every light bulb is standing at attention, and I am not kidding. The bulbs land perfectly at every peak and valley, and end at the end of the roofline perfectly. It's AMAZING. The only thing we now have left is to go and cut down our tree on Friday, and put it up. Wayne helped me decorate the fake tree in the coffee room (now known as the Tree Room since there is 6 trees in it!) He had so much fun helping me, and I couldn't believe how easy it was to just put the balls on the tree, since he was running back and forth between me and the boxes! He was so proud. He kept saying, "I got it Mommy!" "I helping!" Want more Mommy?" Yes, Wayne, you did it. And Mommy is sooo proud!
