Sunday was the annual DeGroot Christmas gathering, which looked a little different this year. It was still at Papa and Nana's, but we DID NOT do a name exchange or a gift exchange. We were just going to eat and visit, and then my mom surprised everyone with a quick game. She grabbed a question out of one bag, and a person's name out of the other, and if they answered correctly, they won a prize! What kind of prize? Starbucks or Black Forest gift certificates, blankets, and tons of other fun stuff. It was easy, simple, and we were cheering each other on, rather than competitively grabbing presents from each other. The Christmas spirit was much more alive and well this year, that's for sure.
I went by myself with all three kids, since Tyler was working. It was BUSY. Thankfully, Breanne took Wyatt and gave him a snack to have. I think she is daily blown away at how different Treven and Wyatt are. One's a firecracker, and the other is soooo easy going. Both are sweet boys!
