After hurting his thumb 6 months ago, and a mysterious bump appearing, and several doctors' appointments, an x ray, and an MRI, Tyler went in for surgery at the end of June. Turns out he actually broke his thumb, which healed nicely, but he also broke something called the capsulem and messed up his ligament and some other things, so into surgery he went to have all that fixed, and the resulting bone spur removed. Phew! Combined with his tablesaw injury from a year ago, his thumb was starting to look a little freakish! He came through surgery great, and it is all healing up nicely. Hmm.. I wonder if he'll play basketball again this year?
