I think it's been SIX years since we moved back into the remodeled house, and guess what? The mantle is ALMOST ready to stain. Can you believe it? Perfection can't be rushed, folks. Tyler is doing a fabulous job - I think he's been doing only bits and pieces up until now because he wanted Wayne to be old enough to help! :-)

I think it looks great! The first thing I noticed is that it's a great depth for decorating - once it gets a top, that is. :)
