Heading for HOME!

After 3 full days in the hospital, by Monday I was feeling well enough to venture home.  Addison was doing GREAT.  Never a temperature issue or anything!  She had a slight (12.8) jaundice level, and had lost 9% of her body weight and was down to 7 pounds 10 ounces, but neither was a concern, and all pretty normal.  Tyler and Wayne were coming to pick us up, and when they arrived around 10:30, Addison and I were packed and ready, and had even had a short nap!  Wayne was SO excited to see his baby sister go outside for the FIRST time, and catch her first breath of FRESH air.  That moment is always a little surreal for me...  such a FIRST and yet so easy and so natural and something we all take for granted.  She was wearing a cute zebra print romper, with her white hoodie sweatshirt, and a crocheted hat from Grandma.  She looked SO TINY in her huge carseat!  Tyler proudly carried her, and Wayne helped carry stuff too, and out to the Denali we went.  It was a quiet trip home, with not a PEEP made from Addison, and a running commentary from Wayne on what she was doing "Her eyes are closed.  They are still closed.  She's moving her face but her eyes are closed."  I'm afraid her brothers will be reporting on her every move for many years to come!
