As long as we're showing cute pictures of cousins...

... I really need to show you a few of Treven!
Treven lives in Seattle, with his his mom and dad.  But, almost every weekend, Treven gets to come back to Whatcom County to hang with his family.  It's becoming a tradition that at least every other weekend they stop by our house for coffee on Saturday morning, and we love it!  Treven is only 8 days younger than Wyatt, but let me tell you....  he's "advanced!"  Okay, really, he's normal and Wyatt is just more laid back and small, but compared to Wyatt, it seems like Treven should be going to kindergarten!  :-)  Treven is just starting to walk, and is LIGHTENING fast in his crawling abilities.  Treven can sit like at the picnic table all by himself, something Wyatt totally can't do.  Wayne and Weston love to see all the things that Treven can do, and often are there to cheer him on into trouble!  :-)

And speaking of trouble...  Look at this shot I got of Weston.  This was just before a massive offensive was launched on my poor cryptomeria trees in the backyard.  Wayne had a baseball bat, and they were attacking the tree together.  When I ran over, yelling at them to stop and what on earth were they doing, Wayne's response was, "We're attackin' the big green prickly monster!"  Weston just sat there, eyes wide open, nodding in agreement.  Turkeys!

These next shots are funny too.  Wayne tried giving Treven a ride in the wagon, but Treven just kept climbing out.  Wayne decided to move on to a more willing rider... Wyatt!  No climbing out for him.  He sat there for a good 20 minutes, perfectly content to sit and watch the action, despite a few "driving errors" on Wayne's part!
And this cracks me up too... so typical.  Wyatt is riding in the wagon, and Trev is pushing him!  Look at the calves on that kid, he could go the distance I tell you!
Here's Weston, just prior to actually bopping Wyatt on the head.  He spent a few minutes in "the doghouse."  That's a back yard time out, and it happens to take place next to Sadie's kennel.
Treven maneuvered through the menagerie of toys that were strewn about the back yard with ease and speed.  Seriously, doesn't it look like he's coming through a war zone?
By 11am, an hour into our visit, it was getting WARM, so we pulled out the new splashing pool.  The boys had a BLAST!  See that ring around Weston's neck?  It's supposed to be for the ring toss, but he put it around his neck.  He kept trying to drink the water coming out of the spouts, but couldn't connect because the orange thing kept getting in his way.  It wasn't until we came into the house that I realized that it was too tight for him to get over his ears by himself.
In the midst of all the pool side fun, Uncle Tyson slipping into hunting mode, and used their tent as a blind, setting himself up about 10 ft away with a water gun.  Once they finally noticed they were being sprayed, they couldn't figure out where it was coming from.
But I knew!  Uncle Tyson - you are so busted, and now I put a picture of you in your wife's sunglasses on my blog.  Hah!  That'll teach you to pick on my boys!  :-)Such cuties!

  1. Looks like so much fun! I really wish I had a fenced yard for my kiddos to play in without worrying about them running away! Here's to hoping for a deliciously warm summer full of fun outdoor days!
