After days like today, we never want summer to end!

Our day started off with a coffee date at 9:30.  There were three moms, 7 boys, and 1 girl, all under 5 years old!  We are a fertile group of friends, aren't we?  After the kids played and played in the yard, they moved to the pool for awhile, then back out to the yard again.
Amanda and her precious girl, Grace.  Vince was napping, but he is just 2lbs less than Wyatt, and is only 2 months old!  While he is a chunk, their weights are more indicative of how small Wyatt really is.
Kelli came too, with Isaac, Owen, and Austin.  Another mom with three boys, fabulous!  Wayne and Isaac sat on top of these cars for a good 15 minutes, and would scream at any kid that walked by them, trying to scare him.
After lunch time and nap time, Wayne asked to get on the phone to call Ethan.  I thought "whatever"  but after a few minutes, he was pretty excited and handed me the phone.  Tanya was on the other end, saying they'd be here in 10 minutes.  What?  You're coming here?  Apparently Wayne had invited them over for coffee and to go swimming!!!  Tanya thought I'd put him up to it, but I was a mom in the dark on that one.  Hah!  The Scheib's did come, and we all headed down to the river for some fun in the sun, and the warm water!

All the kids know... I bribe them with something fun, just to get a good picture.
And then, it was off to the "lagoon."  It's a little side pool off the river, that has dried up to the point where it's not getting much water flow right now, if any at all.  It is WARM, like really warm.  Perfect for little kids!
And us mom's too!
What better to do than float logs?  - Real ones people, not the kind that can also be called #2!!!
And look who's joined us!  He said he was staying home, but the allure of the sunshine, water, and seeing the kids get FILTHY dirty was something he could not miss after all.  I don't think I've seen him on this bike since we were dating.  Tanya asked him, "What, did you have to put air in the tires before you rode over?" to which he replied, "Yup!"
And we couldn't stand seeing poor Wyatt left out of the water in the stroller any longer, so he got to come join the party.  He LOVED it, and splashed and splashed forever.
Then he moved on to eating mud.  Unfortunately Tyler caught sight of this, and Wyatt had to get out of the water, but it was fun while it lasted!
In the meantime, I told the girls that if they rubbed the sandy/clay like mud all over them, it would be like a spa treatment to exfoliate their skin.  Alyssa jumped on board, and COVERED herself in it.
Not to be outdone...Brenna joined in!
We walked back to the house, where we proceeded to hose off each of the kids (with warm water) and made sure that every crack and cranny was hosed out.  They were FILTHY and covered in sand, but we all had a BLAST at the river.  It was too soon to say goodbye, so they all swam for a little while longer before us mom's called it quits so that we could get dinner going.  It was a fabulous, fun, fantastic day, we'll have a tough time topping it tomorrow!
