After almost 2 weeks of chicken fun, and just as much poop, Tyler captured her and took her to a place with other chickens, where she can live the rest of her days AWAY from our porch! :-)

On a Chicken Hunt
If you've driven by in the past few weeks, you may have noticed a chicken sitting on the couch on our front porch (more than likely, it was pooping.) The chicken flew its coop, and of all the houses in the neighborhood he chose ours to come and live. Since no one around here gets away with not doing chores, she pitched in and fluffed the garden and a few flower beds for us. The boys had fun feeding her bread, and following her around. We even had Ethan over for a "chicken hunt" on a beautiful, cold winter morning! Weston could not stop talking about the chicken. He is usually pretty quiet at school, but since the chicken arrived, he has really opened up and telling his teachers all about what the chicken was doing, and all the events. Of course, that meant that at one point he went to school (and church, for that matter) and told them, "Daddy kicked chicken! Kicked chicken out!" Yeesh Tyler!!! What had really happened was that my mom and dad came over, and were coming in the house with their arms full, and the chicken, who if you remember likes to stay on our front porch, walked herself INTO THE HOUSE! She made it all the way to the kitchen before Tyler shooshed her back out, with a sweeping MOTION of a kick - but no contact was made - I promise!!! Weston's interpretation was a little different, as you can see.
After almost 2 weeks of chicken fun, and just as much poop, Tyler captured her and took her to a place with other chickens, where she can live the rest of her days AWAY from our porch! :-)
